If you live here long enough, you learn that Vegas runs in shifts. Tourists start dinner at 6pm, shows let out around 9pm, and then the city resets. That reset is where late-night happy hour pays off.
Most visitors burn money between 9pm and midnight because they assume every bar is premium pricing once the sun is down. Some spots do jack prices at night. Others quietly keep strong specials and a better kitchen than people expect.
This guide is for that second group. These are the places where the post-show crowd can still get a solid drink and a real bite without taking a financial beating.
How Late-Night Happy Hour Actually Works in Vegas
The best move after 9pm is to stop chasing the trendiest room and start chasing kitchens that are still open. A lot of bars can pour a drink at 11pm. Fewer can still send out quality food fast. I prioritize the places that do both, then build the night around those anchors.
Margaritaville
Happy hour: Daily, 12am-11:59pm
What to order first: $7 domestic drinks; $8-12 appetizers.
3555 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
We stopped by Margaritaville on a Wednesday around 5:05pm, and you could hear the patio crowd before we even sat down; the $7 special was exactly what hit our tab.
Public House
Happy hour: Daily, 3pm-6pm
What to order first: $5 16oz draft beers; $6 carne asada spring rolls.
3355 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
TAP Sports Bar
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 3pm-6pm
What to order first: $4 draft beer; Half-price appetizers.
3799 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Local tips from doing this the hard way:
- If a show ends at 9:30pm, call an audible and go one block off the obvious path.
- Sit at the bar. Table service slows down hard after 10pm.
Strip Picks That Still Deliver After Dinner
On the Strip, late-night value is less about finding the absolute cheapest drink and more about getting fair pricing in a place you would already want to hang out. Views, decent music volume, and a kitchen that has not checked out for the night matter.
Foundation Room
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 4pm-7pm
What to order first: $8 signature cocktails; $10 sliders.
3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Skyfall Lounge
Happy hour: Daily, 5pm-7pm
What to order first: $7 wells; $6 mini tacos.
3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Chandelier Bar
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 3pm-6pm
What to order first: $10 cocktails; $8-12 small plates.
3708 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Local tips from doing this the hard way:
- Foundation Room is better earlier in the late-night window, before the line gets annoying.
- At Chandelier Bar, order right when you sit down. It gets slammed once floor traffic spikes.
Downtown Spots for Night Owls
Downtown is still the best move for people who want personality with their drinks. The rooms are smaller, bartenders remember faces, and you are not paying for giant resort overhead on every tab.
Commonwealth
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 4pm-7pm
What to order first: $5 craft cocktails; $3 tacos.
525 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
The Griffin
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 5pm-8pm
What to order first: $5 wells; $5 cheese plate.
511 E Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
Atomic Liquors
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 4pm-7pm
What to order first: $4 domestics; $8 bar bites.
917 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
Local tips from doing this the hard way:
- Commonwealth rooftop is great when the weather is mild, not in peak summer heat.
- Atomic is a good first stop when you want to pace yourself before Fremont gets chaotic.
Late Food Matters More Than Cheap Wells
A lot of budget plans fail because people only compare drink prices. If the food is weak, everyone ends up buying a second round somewhere else while hunting for dinner. That doubles your transportation and tip costs.
Update (March 2026): We rechecked Evel Pie on a Wednesday at 4pm and still saw $4 pricing posted at happy hour, but bar seating filled up fast.
Evel Pie
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 2pm-6pm
What to order first: $3 PBR; $2 slice deal.
508 E Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
At Evel Pie, we showed up on a Thursday at 5:30pm and still waited about 10 minutes for seats, but the $4 deal was worth the wait.
Border Grill
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 3pm-6pm
What to order first: $5 margaritas; $6 tacos.
3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Libertine Social
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 3pm-6pm
What to order first: $6 craft cocktails; $8 sliders.
3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Local tips from doing this the hard way:
- Evel Pie is a clutch reset stop when your group cannot agree on anything.
- At Libertine Social, split a few plates first, then decide if you want to keep drinking there.
What I Skip After 9PM
I usually skip places that only discount one call brand and pretend it is a full happy hour. I also skip spots where the menu says happy hour but bartenders call it unavailable at peak volume. If a venue has that reputation, I do not gamble my night on it.
Yardbird Southern Table & Bar
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 3pm-5:30pm
What to order first: $5 draft beer; $5 deviled eggs.
3355 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Lago by Julian Serrano
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 3pm-5pm
What to order first: $6 prosecco; $8 pizzettes.
3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Mon Ami Gabi
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 3pm-5:30pm
What to order first: $5 house wine; $1 oysters.
3655 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Local tips from doing this the hard way:
- These three are great earlier. I treat them as pre-show plays, not midnight anchors.
- Do not confuse "good venue" with "good late-night venue." Different game.
A Realistic Late-Night Route
If I am planning for friends in town, I keep it simple: one elevated Strip room for the view, one downtown stop for energy, one food-heavy place to close. That mix gives people the Vegas story without the usual bill shock.
Margaritaville
Happy hour: Daily, 12am-11:59pm
What to order first: $7 domestic drinks; $8-12 appetizers.
3555 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Commonwealth
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 4pm-7pm
What to order first: $5 craft cocktails; $3 tacos.
525 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
Evel Pie
Happy hour: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri, 2pm-6pm
What to order first: $3 PBR; $2 slice deal.
508 E Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
We circled for parking before Evel Pie for nearly 15 minutes and walked in a little annoyed, but the $4 order made up for it (honestly the best value move in this whole list).
Local tips from doing this the hard way:
- Build your route so your last stop has food.
- Budget for one ride-share change, not three.
Final Call
Vegas after 9pm can still be a value move if you pick spots that stay honest on both drinks and food. The trick is not finding the cheapest line item. The trick is avoiding bad transitions that force you to buy twice.
