BrewDog Las Vegas Happy Hour. The Strip

BrewDog planted its Las Vegas flag on a rooftop across from Park MGM, and the view is half the draw: the New York-New York skyline, the giant Hard Rock Cafe guitar, the mid-Strip sweep laid out below the patio rail. This is one of the Scottish brewery's biggest American outposts, a multi-level beer hall with a long wall of taps pouring house standards like Punk IPA and Hazy Jane next to rotating lines. The crowd is a mix of beer people making a pilgrimage and tourists who wandered up for the deck and stayed for a second pint.

The happy hour is unusually generous for a Strip address. Sunday through Thursday, noon to 4pm, every draft on the board is $7 a pint. Not a short list of sacrificial lagers, all of them, hazies and stouts included. Frickles and fries drop to half price during the same window, which handles the snacking side well enough. On a boulevard where a basic draft can hit twelve bucks before tip, four hours of $7 pints is a real deal, and it comes straight from BrewDog's own site rather than a stale aggregator.

Time it around the weekday themes if you can. Monday brings $7 margaritas all day, Wednesday is 20 wings for $20 if you dine in, and the daily Lunch Club serves a Patriot Burger with fries and a beer for $24 until 4pm. Stack that burger against happy hour pints and you have a proper Strip lunch for well under forty dollars, with a skyline thrown in.
