Juan's has been playing the neighborhood cantina role since 2013, and the Henderson location holds down a corner of Water Street in the old downtown stretch, with sister rooms on West Tropicana and up on Centennial Parkway in North Las Vegas. The name is literal. Fajita skillets come out of the kitchen still spitting and smoking, and the place bills itself as a spot for food, drinks, and sports, so count on games running on the TVs and a back bar stacked deep with tequila, from El Toro well pours up to Don Julio 1942.

Every day from 3 to 6 the drink list drops to numbers that are getting rare in this town. A 12 ounce house margarita, rocks or frozen, is six dollars, and fifty cents more turns it guava, mango, watermelon, or five other flavors. Well drinks are five, Sycamore Lane wine pours for 5.50, and 16 ounce drafts of Pacifico, Negra Modelo, and the rest go for six, with a michelada upgrade costing a single dollar. The food side might be the real move: a cheese quesadilla, nachos, or queso fundido each start at six, taquitos run ten, and the shrimp ceviche lands at thirteen.

One piece of math worth knowing: the 16 ounce house margarita costs 8.50 during these hours against 10.50 on the regular menu, so sizing up is where the discount actually lives. All three locations post the same happy hour menu with the same 3 to 6 window, and on Water Street you can roll straight into the rest of downtown Henderson's bar row afterward.
