Tony Gemignani's downtown spot at the Downtown Grand runs four separate ovens at different temperatures so the kitchen can turn out Neapolitan, Sicilian, Roman, and classic American pies the way each style demands. The 185-seat room leans loud on purpose, with a serious sound system and a bar pouring from 23 rotating drafts plus a bottle list north of sixty. It sits on North 3rd Street in the thick of the downtown entertainment stretch, so the crowd swings from Fremont Street wanderers to locals who treat it as their default pizza stop.

The deal here is Monday through Thursday from 3 to 6pm, and it is genuinely cheap for what this kitchen does. Personal pizzas start at $8 for a cheese and top out at $9.50 for the specialty options. Meatballs are $8 for three, garlic bread is $7.50, and the Italian fries, done gorgonzola, truffle, or rosemary garlic, run $7. On the drink side you get $9 cocktails like the Freaky Tiki and the Jameson Mule, a $5 24-ounce PBR, and $2 off Modelo, Sierra Nevada, and select wines by the glass. The pints and shots combo pairs a 16-ounce draft with a shot for $15.50; another $2.50 bumps it to 20 ounces.
