STK Steakhouse Happy Hour. The Strip

A four ounce filet with asparagus and red wine sauce for $29 says a lot about how seriously this bar takes its afternoon menu. Every day from 2:30 to 5:30, the bar and bistro seats turn into one of the better deals inside the Cosmopolitan: seven different plates at $7 each, including a little burger, a salmon slider, crispy chicken, and scallop and avocado ceviche. Spend $14 and you get miso glazed Chilean seabass or beef tartare. Oysters and shrimp scampi sit at $21.

Drinks follow the same flat pricing. Specialty cocktails are $12, and three solid wines pour at $10 a glass, with Whispering Angel rose and Decoy cabernet on the list. Stella and Michelob Ultra come in at $5. Get there closer to 2:30 than 5, because the bar fills fast once dinner reservations start arriving and the room shifts into full steakhouse mode. Seats are first come, bar and bistro only.
