The backlit onyx bar glows amber before the dining room even opens, and that gap matters: dinner service starts at 5, but the bar and patio pour Social Hour from 4 to 6 every Sunday through Thursday. This is the steakhouse inside Red Rock Casino, the anchor of Summerlin's dress-up dining, and the lounge crowd skews local. Regulars grab the patio seats early on warm evenings, when the light off the Red Rock cliffs does half the work.

The kitchen is a proper chophouse, prime cuts and a wine list deep enough that the room keeps a resident sommelier on staff. During Social Hour the draw shifts to smaller stuff, discounted cocktails and bar bites like sliders and steak bites, priced well under what the dining room charges after dark. Martinis get particular attention here. Come Friday and Saturday there is no happy hour at all, so plan for the early side of the week. Reservations help for dinner; the bar itself is first come.
